My Epson Style CX3900 won't let me print in black and white if I don't have blue, yellow, or red cartridges. What's up with that?Epson Stylus CX3900: How do I print without all cartridges?
It is a way to keep the ';less used'; cartridges from drying up and causing other problems. So it uses just a bit of color to even print in black and white.
I know it sucks when you can't get to the store, to replace a cartridge but it will help prolong the life of your printer.
