Printer wont print as says cartridge empty, buti just filled cartridge? Do i have to reset something?

I know nothing about printers lol and just had to refil my cartridge as it was empty and i was too skint to buy a new one lol!! Its a lexmark 4 black cartidge.

Try on here. This is for Lexmark 4 cartridges. Click on your printer model there may be some tips to get the printer to accept the refilled cartridge. If your printer model is not there then your printer will not accept refilled unless you can find a way to override it.

Refilled cartridge might be the problem. I advise that you always buy original ones as this is the best. I assumed your cartridge is ok, then other troubleshooting might include checking that the cartridge is properly installed, re alignment for newly installed ones etc.

Sometimes people forget to take the film off of the cartridge and that can make the printer still think that its empty because its not letting any ink out. Otherwise maybe its not clipped in all the way, it has to make a snapping sound for it to be all the way in.
