A mixture of warm water and ammonia works great. Do not use Rubbing alcohol, it will dry out the printhead, just what you do not want.





Let it sit for 10 minutes. If you can see the physical build up, wiping the ink off gently will help.What should we do to make a clotted cartridge[hp print cartridge] work?
Put it in warm water -BUT ONLY THE BOTTOM PART, make sure you don't get the chips wet.You should leave it in the water at least 1 hour,dry it off and reinstall.Hope that works.They also make a spacial cleaner for that.
