What is a demo print cartridge? Is it true that the demo cartriges hold only 30% of ink compared to real ones?

My Lexmark came with what are equivalent to demo cartridges... but they also sell them to people who don't understand what c**p they are. About 1/3 of the ink, about 2/3 of the price for what Lexmark call a moderate usage cart. Or in reality at 30 pages, a very low yield cart.

I've had an HP printer that came with low capacity carts as 'demo'... I guess it's their way of making sure that when you find a set of carts cost more than your printer did in the first place that you don't just go out and buy a new printer instead of a set of carts. What is a demo print cartridge? Is it true that the demo cartriges hold only 30% of ink compared to real ones?
yeah! The Demo cartridges will have only very less amount ink.

In certain printers like HP Photosmart 8250, D7160, D7360 has a fixed cartridge carriers, which do not move with print head. Here, the ink is transformed thru tubes. In order to make the tube to flow the ink gently, a demo cartridge, which has high concentrated ink will be passed at the very first time usage. these cartridge are also called Industry cartridges or Host cartridges. Since, they initialize the printer, they can be used for only 10 pages. What is a demo print cartridge? Is it true that the demo cartriges hold only 30% of ink compared to real ones?
YES lexmark is famous for this They only fill them half full!! a #17 ink is a starter and a #16 is a full. That is what all printers come with these days and it is how they make the printers so cheap to sell. To buy the ink will be like $100 when the printer costed around $40
